The Itasca County Fairgrounds provides a beautiful campground near the entrance to the Mesabi Trail. These scenic campsites are available from May – September on a first come basis. No reservations required.

The Mesabi Trail traverses 115 miles and connecting 28 communities. A wheel pass is required for all trail users 18 and older who are on wheels. Passes may be purchased on line, at Mesabi Trail Town Pass vendors, or at entry point self-pay boxes. The trail is great for summer activities such as biking, inline skating or walking. Winter activities may include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and winter hiking.

Crystal Lake, a short walk from the campground, is available for fishing and swimming.
The Mesabi Trail is available for walking or biking.
